The 24th Annual Tour de Poway Fun Bike Ride has grown to be one of the largest fun ride cycling events in southern California drawing over 2,000 participants. All the rides start and finish in Poway the "City in the country" and travel through scenic north county San Diego. The 102, 64 and 50 mile courses begin with a climb up the Poway road grade (8% for 3 miles) followed by a fantastic 7 mile downhill. The century route includes a ride down the coast before heading back to Poway. The 26 and 18 mile courses provide both a fun and enjoyable experience for the weekend cyclists. After cyclists return to Old Poway park, they will have the option to relax, listen music and visit the booths at the health & fitness expo. The Tour de Poway is hosted by the Kiwanis club of Poway and portions of the proceeds are donated to several north San Diego county Kiwanis clubs.
REGISTRATION
Register online at Active.com or print a pdf version of the registration form and mail or fax the completed form to the address listed on the registration sheet.
A signed waiver and entry fee is required for every participant. The fee is $45 for the 102 mile century, 62
mile metric century and for the 50 mile and $35 for the 26 mile and 18 mile courses. Entry fee includes a commemorative patch, well stocked
aid stations, ride support, and a route sheet. You can also register day of the event, however, an extra $15 fee will be charged
for registration after September 27th. Day of registration begins at 6:00 am.
COURSES
102 Mile (Century) Ride begins by climbing the Poway grade into Ramona follwed by a great 7 mile downhill on highway 78 with
a scenic ride down the coast. The course features five well stocked aid stations with a total of 4500 ft of climbing. Most of the climbing is in the first 30 miles of the ride.
East bound lane of the Poway Grade will be closed to vehicle traffic from
7:00am-9:00am.
64 Mile (Metric Century)and the 50 Mile cousres begin the same as the 102 mile
course into Ramona with a 7 mile downhill on highway 78 and returns back through Rancho Bernardo over the new stress ribbon bicycle bridge over lake Hodges. The 64 mile course includes 3,000 feet of climbing with three aid stations and the 50 mile mile course has 2,500 feet of climbing with 2 aid stations.
26 Mile and the 18 Mile courses travel through north Poway and the Bernardo Winery. The 26 mile proceeds into Rancho Bernardo before heading back to Poway. The 26 mile route includes 2600 ft of climbing with 2 aid stations. The 18 mile couses includes 500 feet of climbing with one aid station at the Bernardo Winery.
HEALTH & FITNESS EXPO AND BARBEQUE
After the ride stop and visit one of the many booths at the health and fitness expo and enjoy a delicious Barbeque lunch in charming Old Poway Park. Barbeque includes chicken, salad, beans, a drink and a cookie. All for only $12. Barbeque will be served from 11:30 AM - 3:30 PM

All rides start and finish at Old Poway Park, in the city of Poway. Poway is 30 miles northeast of San Diego, 6 miles south of Escondido and 30 east of Oceanside. The park address is 14128 Midland Road, Poway,CA 92064.
